PURCHASING SOIL AT A GARDENING STORE

I always wondered where bagged soil comes from.  You can't manufacture soil in a factory.  The bagged soil that you purchase at a store had to come from a field or somebody's lawn.  So which poor shmuck had to give up a portion of his or her lawn so that the soil can be stuffed into a plastic bag.  And what became of the area when all the soil has been removed and shoved into a plastic bag.  I mean, you can't toss grass seeds after all the soil has been removed.  I guess it's a bunch of rocks and gravel with a bunch of grass seeds that never grew into somebody's front lawn.  Gosh darn the luck..
And as I'm lost in thought while it's late at night, here are some photos of Freida Pinto.
