THE 2016 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was a time of great feats of athletic, strength, speed, skill and endurance.  The 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was a time for great feats of sportsmanship.  Take Abbey D'Agostino of the United States and Nikki Hamblin of New Zealand for instance.  Abbey D'Agostino damaged her leg after she tripped and fell during the Women's 5000m during the Track and Field portion of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.  Nikki Hamblin sacrificed the chance to win the running match so that she could help Abbey D'Agostino back to her feet and help walk her to the finish line.  And later, Nikki Hamblin helped Abbey D'Agostino to a nearby wheelchair for medical examination.  Abbey D'Agostino and Nikki Hamblin formed a friendship that day which will last for a lifetime.

Speaking of the Track and Field portion of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, there is another story that I would like to tell you.  Darya Klishina was the only member of the Russian track and field portion of the Russian National Team due to the fact that she did most of her training in the United States while Russia was using steroids on their track and Field Athletes.  Then the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) reversed their decision and banned Darya Klishina because he was part of the Russian Team.  Darya Klishina appealed the IAAF's revised ruling and got special exemption status because she was able to prove that she was training in the United States when Russia was using steroid on their Track and Field Athletes.  So off Darya Klishina went as the only member of the Track and Field portion of the Russian National Team to compete on the Women's Long Jump.  She only got ninth place, but at least he was able to compete and she did so honestly.

It's important to note that Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is exactly one hour ahead of us. So what I've been saying is already news to the Brazilians for the past hour and nineteen minutes. The Brazilians pulled an upset. Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross of the United States verses Agatha Bednarczuk and Barbara Seixas of Brazil went down like this. Brazil won both sets and won the second set by only two points and plays Germany for the Gold in Women's Beach Volleyball. The United States plays an unknown opponent for the Bronze. I don't know how the Silver is figured out. I guess the Silver is either Brazil or Germany. Which means that if the United States loses the next Women's Beach Volleyball match, that it's down to fourth place for some unlucky soul. Let's hope the United States isn't that unlucky soul.
Anyway, here are some photos of Agatha Bednarczuk and Barbara Seixas of Brazil competing in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Life for Ryan Lochte, Jack Conger, Gunnar Bentz, James Feigen started good with the winning of medal, but then went sour with criminal felony accusations.
Ryan Lochte was a huge presence in the United States of America Men's National Swimming Team. He won medals in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England as well as the 2016 Summer Olympic Game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It's at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that got Ryan Lochte in trouble. No, his medals wasn't taken away. It was a different sort of matter. Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen along with Ryan Lochte first appeared on the Today Show with former Access Hollywood host turned Today Show employee Billy Bush (A relative of former President of the United States George H.W. Bush and former President of the United States George W. Bush) that the four of them were ordered out of the taxi while out of the Olympic Village and rubbed at gun point. The next day, the story changed to criminals dressed as cops driving stolen police cars did the gunpoint robbing. It wasn't until Ryan Lochte was already in the United States facing extradition while Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger was arrested on the airplane seconds before it was about to take off to the United States with their passports seized that the real truth came out. It turns out that Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen along with Ryan Lochte had the taxi cab pull over at a gas station so that they could use the rest room. Instead of using the rest room, the four men had the Brazilian gas station vandalized before filing a false robbery accusation against criminals who never existed.
The four men are now facing criminal charges as well as filing false police reports. Saying that boys will be boys while poor Gabrielle Douglas (Pictured here with Simone Biles behind her and with Lauren Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Alexandra Raisman in front of her) was mercilessly pounded for not having her hand on her heart during the national anthem while getting her medal and not standing at the right time during the competition is kind of hypocritical.
Plus, Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen along with Ryan Lochte were acting like Ugly Americans in the host nation of Brazil sends the wrong message about how the United States wants to represent itself. Plus, they need to pay for the damage they have done to the gas station because the gas station may not be able to pay for the damage on it's own. If your going to hold Gabrielle Douglas to a certain kind of standards, then you need to do the same to Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen along with Ryan Lochte. Just because one was an African-American female while the other four are Caucasian men makes no difference. Human Beings Representing the United States in Brazil are still Human Beings Representing the United States in Brazil.
