Hilary Erhard Duff was born in Houston, Texas on September 28, 1987.  Her father Robert Erhard Duff co-owned a series of convenience stores while her mother Susan Colleen was a housewife before finding employment producing films and music.  Haylie Katherine Duff is Hilary Duff's older sister born on February 19, 1985 also in Houston, Texas.  Upon taking classes to learn acting, singing, and ballet Haylie Duff along with her sister Hilary Duff were casted in theater productions of a local sort.  When BalletMet staged a production of the Nutracker ballet in San Antonio, Haylie Duff and Hilary Duff were among those included in the BalletMet cast.  Susan Colleen's interest in promoting Haylie Duff and Hilary Duff as both rock stars as well as actors caused her to relocate to California while Robert Duff stayed behind in Houston, Texas.  Haylie Duff and her sister Hilary Duff never attended public school a day in their life and was home schooled instead.  This afforded the chance to act in television commercials as well as children clothing ads.  Uncredited minor roles and uncredited roles in extras were found in True Women and Playing by Heart before Hilary Duff got her first lead role in a movie.  She was cast as Wendy in the direct to video film Casper Meets Wendy (The second installment in the Casper the Friendly Ghost film franchise).  She landed credited supporting roles in the television film the Soul Collector as well as guest star roles in the television shows Chicago Hope and Daddio.  Her breakthrough finally arrived when she played the lead role in the Disney Network television sitcom Lizzy McGuire which broadcast sixty-five episodes across two seasons from January 12, 2001 (2001-01-12) to February 14, 2004 and resulted in a theatrical motion picture epilogue on May 2, 2003.
Her first two albums were released while Lizzie McGuire was still in production on the years 2002 and 2003.  Her third album was released a full year after Lizzie McGuire ended production on 2004.  Hilary Duff continued to act far beyond the television series Lizzie McGuire and has acted either lead or supporting role in nineteen movies to date.  She also played guest star roles on television also.  She continues to record albums with her fourth album released on 2007 and her fifth album on 2015.  She also released two greatest hits compellations on 2005 and 2008.  Hilary Duff is also a published writer and has written three installments in the The Elixir series in 2010 with Elixir, 2011 with Devoted and in 2013 with True.  She married a Canadian born National Hockey League athlete named Mike Comrie on August 14, 2010 which resulted in the birth of her son Luca Cruz Comrie.  The marriage didn't last long however first resulting in a legal separation on January 10, 2014 and later in divorce on February 2015.  Hilary Duff continues to record music and tour to support her music to this exact moment of time.
