COME AND GET IT

Selena Marie Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22, 1992.  An adopted Caucasian Italian Amanda Dawn "Mandy" Teefey (née Cornett) was a former stage actress and was Selena's birth mother.  Born of Hispanic-Mexican decent,  Ricardo Joel Gomez was Selena's birth father.  Selena Gomez was half Italian and half Mexican.  Shot dead by Yolanda Saldívar (Lesbian fixation that went unfulfilled) on March 31, 1995, Hispanic rock star Selena Quintanilla was the namesake for Selena Gomez.  It wasn't an easy marriage for Amanda Dawn "Mandy" Teefey and Ricardo Joel Gomez and they divorced in 1997 when Selena Gomez was only seven years old.  Her birth mother got primary custody over Selena Gomez and eventually married spouse #2, Brian Teefey, which resulted in her half-sister (Same mother, different fathers) Gracie Elliot on June 12, 2013.  Even after the divorce of her birth parents, Selena Gomez was raised to pray in a Communal Church as well as having her Quinceañera on her fifteenth birthday (A Mexican-Hispanic tradition to mark a girl's transition to adulthood.  It's calledfesta de debutantes, baile de debutantes or festa de quinze anos in Brazil and it's called fête des quinze ans in French Carribean and French Guiana.).
Selena Gomez was a series regular on the seventh and eighth seasons of the children's television show Barney and Friends alongside Demi Lovato.  She also made a cameo appearance in Spy Kids 3:  Game Over and the Walker Texas Ranger episode Trial by Fire.  It was her three episode guest appearance as Hannah's bullying enemy Mikayla on the Disney network television series Hannah Montana that produced a career breakthrough for Selena Gomez.  Next came a role as Alex Russo, the female lead in the Disney network television series the Wizards of Waverly Place.  Her attachment to the Disney network continued when she landed the female lead in the direct to video movie Another Cinderella Story (Which had nothing to do with the theatrical release motion picture A Cinderella Story (Which had a completely different cast of characters)).  Selena Gomez also played Helga in the animated cartoon Horton Hears a Who!.
Selena Gomez started a career in music and started to release smash hit albums around the same time her acting career was starting to take off.  Regarding her film career, Selena Gomez starred in the theatrical films Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo, Hotel Transylvania and Spring Breakers.   Regarding her music career,  Selena Gomez recorded Kiss & Tell in 2009, A Year Without Rain in 2010, When the Sun Goes Down in 2011 and Stars Dance in 2013.  Selena Gomez is still acting in movies and recording rock albums to this exact moment in time.
