THOUGHTS ON THE MATTER

Fairuza Balk as Nancy Downs.  She started out nice in the film the Craft.  She had this gothic punk rock vibe going on.  She's deeply into witchcraft.  She hates football players.  However, she doesn't like it when her friends are distracted by anything that's not related to her.  That's when she got scary and destructive.  Nancy Downs was eventually arrested for attempted murder and trying to crash an airplane through the use of sorcery.  I'm not sure how the second criminal charge could hold up in court and the use of snakes and mid-air flight in the first criminal charge was kind of shaky.  However, that didn't stop Nancy Downs from being committed to a lunatic asylum claiming that she's flying (While strapped to a bed and being drugged with sedatives).  Believe it or not, Fairuza Balk once played Dorthy Gale in the Wizard of Oz sequel movie Return to Oz.  Then again, Return to Oz was the only Wizard of Oz film where the Yellow Brick Road and Emerald City got blown to tiny itty bitty pieces by a thermal nuclear holocaust bomb.  Plus, Return to Oz was the only Wizard of Oz film where Aunt Em committed Dorthy Gale to a lunatic asylum for torturing the farm animals.  So I guess there always was a tiny bit of insanity going on in Fairuza Balk's mind when you really look back at it all.
Yes, somebody actually hired Fairuza Balk to play Dorthy Gale in a Wizard of Oz film.  Don't ask.  Just nod your head and go along with it.  For best results, ask Fairuza Balk to sing the song We're Off to See the Wizard while dressed in the outfit that she's wearing right now.  Fairuza Balk loves it when people ask her that.
