ME AND MY PET SKUNK

Gentle Reader, I need to be honest.  Skunks make lousy pet animals.  I'm not sure if it's possible to domesticate a skunk.  However, even if it were possible to domesticate a skunk, I won't recommend keeping one as a pet animal.  Skunks will spray you with a horrible stench even if the creature never intended to.  Spraying you with a stench that doesn't come off easily appears to be the only purpose a skunk has in life.  I'm not sure if skunk is edible.  You could try to use a skunk as a laboratory animal, but then you'll get sprayed with a horrible stench that never comes off.  So I guess the only real purpose a skunk has in life is to be avoided by everybody in sight.  And that's a horrible fate to be stuck with.  I'm sure there are skunks out there who would've been easy to domesticate, but we'll never encounter them because of the horrible stench factor.  And so a skunk is a lonly animal that only hangs out with other skunk.  Because the only creature that isn't bothered by the possiblity of getting sprayed with a horrible stench that never washes off is another skunk with an equally repulsive body oder of hellish proportions.
