CLOUDY SKIES

The skies are cloudy.  It might rain, but it hasn't yet.  I would like to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.  However, I can't do so without violating the curfew that Mom has set in me.  So I guess I'll miss seeing Guns N' Roses, The Small Faces/Faces, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Beastie Boys, Donovan and Laura Nyro being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Yes, it's frustrating living this close to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and missing what has got to be one of the coolest induction ceremonies ever.  Well, it would've been cooler if Laura Nyro didn't die on April 8, 1997 from ovarian cancer.  You don't see much rock stars dying of cancer.  Normally, a rock star would die from drug abuse, alcohol abuse or an eating disorder.  But few rock stars die from cancer.  However, Laura Nyro isn't the typical rock star.  If Laura Nyro was alive today, she would've been overwhelmed with happiness that she got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Still, we have Laura Nyro albums to remember her legendary music career with.

While I'm lost in thought about rock and roll, here are some photos of rock star Beth Orton.  One day, Beth Orton will also find herself being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
